Short Summary Educraw - Non-formal education is an idea that came to my mind and developed through the years of working as a youth worker (almost 9 years). Throughout my participation in projects of the Red Cross or international volunteering projects funded by the European Union, I have saw the need for another way of education for children. The world develops with a high speed, but children l's education is not adapted to their real needs. This ideea is a project that I started to work on a long time ago, but until now, I wasn't sure that i had enough experience to start an actual implementation. Now i have the proper accreditation and people to team up with to start working on it and even compose a proper proposal to get funds to make it work on scale. The only problem is the start, because to be able to receive funds, at first i must have the operation put in place. This means opening an Association and being able to operate it for at least a couple of months, starting some small scale introduction activities and being active in the field, so that when everything is put in place, there will already be some established connections. It is about creating an association that will bring future development to communities, with any profit that might emerge being reintroduced in this project, to be able to keep up with change and become a bigger influence. What We Need 1. Funds to "set up camp", no more than 100k dollars, as described below: - 500 dollars for all necessary paperwork, taxes and documents for opening an Association. - 5000 dollars for renting an operation center for approximately 6 months or 48000 dollars to buy a building with at least 15 acres of land and to prepare it to be kid friendly and to prepare spaces with designated purposes (Including operation costs for at least 3 months) - 24000 dollars for all necessary equipment, making it fully operational with no need to contract outside services for anything regarding online classes, media production (website included), prints or outside events equipment. This amount, used as said above, will also provide extra funds while also cutting future costs. An alternative would be 3000 dollars for renting, buying or contracting only the basic needs for operating, but with a lower quality, resulting in future costs. - any funds received going over 72500 dollars will be used to acquire equipment, provide better services to the participant children, pay for unseen costs and make the Association more sustainable. - IF THE DONATIONS DO NOT REACH THE PREDICTED NEEDS, RECALCULATION WILL BE MADE TO ENSURE THAT THE PROGRAM WILL BE ABLE TO START, EVEN WITH A REDUCED SCALE AND A PROLONGED PERIOD OF ESTABLISHMENT, A LOAN BEING ALSO TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION IN THIS ACCOUNT. 2. People to realise how important children's education is, for all our future. The Impact No matter the amount donated, the impact will be the same ( children receiving training in important areas (such as first aid, social etiquette, learning techniques, etc..), will receive help to study, meals or school supplies when needed), only the numbers, duration and sustenability will be inpacted by the funds. 1st possibility: No funds or not enough, resulting in continuing the work struggling to find partners, while providing one at a time non-formal educational activities at a time, using small amounts of donations, help from partners or personal funds, but with little tangible results. 2nd possibility: A moderate amount of funds, resulting in possibility of starting with smaller impact projects, but continuous ones, while securing funds for continued work. 3rd possibility: The desired amount of funds from the beginning, resulting in a permanent operation center, that is sustainable and will be able to evolve in a permanent educational center, with properly trained young teachers, youth workers and proffesionals.
