Albet Focus Initiative is a non governmental organization, based in Agago district, agetating for basic rights for children, child rights, giving psychosocial support among others. We also believe through sports children develop their talents, improve on their social lives and enhance their skills development.
However the girls in our football academy come from a very poor background, orphans, child neglect and early child marriages as evidenced in report of over 3000 teenage pregnancy reported, with the long history of the impact of war in the last three decades, poor background, these has caused the young girls to engage in early sexual activities. Therefore we are working hard to see that we curb and reduce this vices.

Challenge In Uganda, drop-out rates are high for rural girls. Up to 80% of girls entering primary school will never complete their primary education. Uganda has the highest teen pregnancy rate in sub-Saharan Africa with over 30% of Ugandan girls having their first baby by the time they are 18. HIV infection rates are 9 times higher in girls than boys the same age and Uganda has one of the highest maternal death rates in the world, 25% of which are from unsafe abortions. Solution We will keep girls in school which in turn will affect the entire community through training students to act as peer leaders about reproductive health, distribution of sanitary pads to girls in school and construction of girls only private latrines at school. Early data show that the programs have had a remarkable impact. Long-Term Impact Early data show that the program has had a remarkable impact. Girls in schools with peer-educators are better informed about reproductive health and more comfortable with discussing issues around menstruation, puberty and relationships with boys. We now have 5 trained senior women teachers supporting 50 trained student- educators in 10 schools serving 4500 girls. Additionaly there has been an increase in girls participation in football and the game of sports. If you can't help all, help one. Share our projects so we can be able to reach our goals
