I am Ngene Hellen in Uganda and chairperson of KARC Uganda. Hello views and Donors help our women organisation to save endengered fish spices through construction of ten bigh fish ponds and conservation of wetlands and rivers in Rwenzori Region in Uganda.Kikumu agriculture research centre(KARC) in Kiteso Kassee Municipality, western Uganda is community based organisation founded in 1999 and based on agriculture and women livelihoods. Uganda fish species is facing threats. The orecoromis sp In most lakes are olmost cleared and extinction as no spcies. we hope to conservation the species from this problem. Due to overpoulation,poaching and encroaching of wetlands cause climate change and its effects. Lakes and rivers are with challenges as result of climate change in Uganda.It would like to protect endangered fish spices and though fish pond formation and protect swambs around Kasese and Queen Elizabeth National park Uganda.
The Oreochromis esculentus, the Singida tilapia or Graham's tilapia, is a species of cichlid endemic to the Lake Victoria basin, including some of its satellite lakes such as Kyoga, in Tanzania, Uganda are facing threats and challenges. Karc Uganda is seeking Funding to help in protection of wetlands and formation of 10 fish ponds in five villages in Karusandara in Kasese Western Uganda. The fish ponds and wetlands will protect fish from extinctions and increase in fish conservation In Uganda and be replicated in Uganda and world.
The cost of your funding requested will cover training 100 women,collection endengered fish, fish feeds,breeding,construction of 10 big fish ponds,conservation of 10 wetlands and rivers,M&E,reporting.
