Update on Mimi, the little dog we rescued from Empress Market one day ago. Mimi is doing so much better. Eating full meals and isn’t in pain anymore. But Is still very very stressed and just so sad and spirit feels so defeated. Also turns out, Mimi is male! When we were finally able to shave him, we realised Mimi is a Mimo but we still like the name Mimi for him so we’re sticking to it. He’s such a little sweetie. Once he was fully shaved and cleaned and treated, his tired little body just collapsed on a pillow. Don’t think he’s ever felt something soft under his bony body to hold him. It seemed like He slept for a hundred nights, breathing little sighs of relief in his slumber. We are just so happy he’s safe and sound with us ?? We really hope Mimi makes it. He’s not in the clear yet. We will keep you all updated. There’s a heatwave in karachi at the moment. It’s haunting us as to what the animals there are going through and all those the shopkeepers hide away. We are trying to do what we can to help at the back end. We are at it nonstop every day no matter what’s going on in life. But we know this change was never going to be sudden or permanent so soon. We just need to keep working on it and keep our expectations very low and our patience very high. Like we have done with everything for animals so far. We just can’t give up hope. Just please if you can, stop by the pet markets and pet shops everywhere and ensure all the animals have water. Please leave bowls of water outside your homes for stray cats and dogs and keep buckets and water if you can in your vehicle to give donkeys on the road.
