The Helmand Journal (THJ) is the first Afghan magazine which represents the most vulnerable and war affected areas.
Recently THJ has initiated building schools in those remote areas where thousands of children couldn’t read and write because of the unavailability of schools.
The Helmand Journal has built its first two schools in a remote villages of Helmand and third one in Zabul province. We provide free education and give stationary materials to every reachable kid in these villages. We hire teachers for them and pay them monthly salary which helps also the teachers to peddle their family.
We are raising funds to help and build primary schools in those remote villages of Afghanistan where children haven't been introduced to schools.
The children of today are gearing up to become adult citizens of tomorrow. School is the foremost fountain of knowledge children are exposed to.
Our goal is to promote education, by building schools and providing spaces and resources for learning. We hope to accomplish this by introducing various educational programs and awareness of the importance of education and its impact on the knowledge and skills of children who will become the future decision makers of their country.
We'd be very grateful for any help in raising funds as there is so much work that can be done in making remote areas in Afghanistan functioning.
