URGENT Help Needed:
Few days ago, At North Dakota we responded to a call about the abandoned dog in a vacant apartment who was left alone with no food and no water. Lucy, as we named her, had been left alone in the apartment following an eviction. Lucy is understandably but nervous and cannot eat or drink water naturally. At only 26 pounds, Lucy's skin and bone are so weak, she has zero muscle mass, and she cannot stand. When we arrived on the scene, we were stunned to see poor, sweet Lucy, who was trying so hard to stand and wag her tail to greet these new people. Lucy is one of the worst cases of emaciation we have seen even our veterinary medical director, who has treated hundreds of animals every month, has said that Lucy's case is haunting. Though Lucy was alone for at least a week without food and without water, crying for help, but no one was near her to listen her voice, luna's severe condition indicates that she was neglected for much, much longer. She must have been terrified on her own after watching the only people they knew walk out the door and never return.
When would she get food or water?
Who would love them and keep them safe?
We have to wonder if Lucy know that she was going to die soon if help didn’t arrive. she used his voice to ask for help and thankfully, help arrived just in time. Her barks saved her life atlast. Critical medical care for our animals is the largest part of our budget, we are individuals trying to help abaddoned or street animals give them shelter and food. As in North Dakota thousands of animals die of cold every month. It’s where funding for our shelter is always greatly needed. As we are working for animal shelter on our own, we see some of the worst cases of abuse and neglect. Your donations are needed more than ever. As a reminder. This means that anything you gives is doubled to help twice the number of animals.
And we are promising we will be updating new photos of Lucy and other as well in our facebook page.
