Hope this finds you well, My names are Kiggundu silvester born and raised up in Uganda. In brief, I lost my father when I was in form two and we were raised up by our mother who was a mere house wife. At 15years, I started paying school fees for my self through doing hard works like fetching water on construction sites, brewing crude waragi (alcohol made from bananas), cutting trees for firewood and charcoal, digging in the villages, among others. After form four, I couldn't manage work while studying and I dropped out of school. After staying home for one year, there came salesians of Don Bosco and started a school , called Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre Namaliga situated 16 kilometres away from home. I decided atleast to learn a trade but where to get school fees from?. The aim of that school was targeting people like me.
I started studying free of charge for the duration of two years. Credit goes to Reverend Father Richard Joziwiak(our principal then). l preformed well and I was the best student in the whole school at the end of the course that year. The school used to award the best student with equipped tool box, but for me I requested them to instead them help me upgrade so that l could further my career. They agreed, I joined Lugogo Vocational Training Institute for craftmanship certificates part one and two, Later kyambogo University for a Diploma in building and civil Engineering. Unfortunately, I finished my studies when my principal is transferred to another sister school called Don Bosco Kamuli campus.
As a sign of appreciation, I went back to the my former school and worked for them for a period of two years. I started a building construction company that train orphans and school dropouts on job, and after employ them as casual labourers. Out of my small savings, I bought a plot of land where I need to build a primary where these little ones can be helped from before joining construction sites. Am looking for $ 50,000 for the proposed project. l know with your assistance, I shall raise that money. Remember little help is better than a lot of pity. I will be grateful for any offer given to me. May God bless you
