My name is Zoe, I'm a 31 year old living in Greece. The reason for this post is that I lost my job. I'm really desperate as this means I'm not gonna be able to keep up with my bills as I have no savings or any family and friends to help me out.

I was lucky enough to be working for an American company and things were looking up for a while..

I was in the process of paying my taxes for last year and literally my whole salary was going towards taxes, bills and loan payments. I was spending my days at work and home with my dog, barely making ends meet but at least surviving. I'm currently looking for another job but in the Greek market the salary is going to be 1/3 of what I was getting. I'm not gonna be able to pay the taxes, afford my rent, pay off my student loan..

I've left an abusive household almost 2 years ago and I've been on my own ever since. My parents never cared or supported me. I have issues with trauma and depression which made me close off from the world.

I haven't eaten in 4 days, I spend my time applying for jobs knowing all too well it's futile as it will not cover my bills and the rest of the time I'm lying in bed, for hours. I feel so low and hopeless. I hope you can see it in my eyes in this picture.

This job and my dog was literally the only thing that was keeping me going and the only good thing I had. I feel like such a failure.
