This is it. This year is going to be one of the best in my life. Have you ever had this feeling? I am sure, at some point in your life, you did.
2020 was a tough year for everyone, I'm not an exception. Quarantine, no job, problems with family and relatives, etc. I've spent some time living in this atmosphere until I got a job in Poland and moved there at the end of the summer. I've been working in Poland before. Different cities, various types of work, boring and monotonous, but at the same time, well paid. Much higher than in Ukraine, my homeland.
My last job was hard in both ways, mentally and physically. I worked there for one year. During that time, I was thinking about my life, and myself, I wanted some changes so badly. So I've decided to quit my job in October 2021 and go back to Ukraine.
I always wanted to work on a cruise ship, so I've finished some seafarers courses in Odessa, a port city, and got a job at Princess cruises. I got all the documents I needed in January 2022 and was ready to join the team in the USA at the end of February 2022. At this point, I was proud of myself, because I wanted this job so much.
Working with people from all over the world, what can be better?! Another culture, language, religion, traveling, learning something new. Dream. I was thinking "This is it!" until the war has happened. I have been stuck in my home country for three months, suffering and praying for a better future for all people in the world. I don't understand, what is wrong with people, why they are so angry, why they want to destroy someone's home and take someone's life. Why? We all can live on this planet.
The one thing I know for sure is LOVE WILL WIN. So my choice is love. I'll find my way to live and enjoy my life no matter what.
