Hi! My name is Pius Tayebwa. I’m from Kampala, Uganda.

In my country (Uganda), as per today’s statistics, over 85% we’re youth ( below 35 years) and 85% we’re unemployed.

For the past 9 months so far , we were chased away from the city streets where we were hawking and vending different items for survival. Of course, left with no option, we’re seated home , getting what to eat or even do is still hard , and the gov’t isn’t moved at all.

Because I studied communication and technology, I and other friends came up with an idea of starting up a digital platform where people and mostly the young people who were chased away from the streets can run their small businesses (sell/buy items , services and the rest).

We started an online marketplace ( Classified ad business) and named it; "Shopbiz.Ug". And, we expect this digital platform to create hundreds and thousands of jobs for the young population In Uganda, East Africa, Africa at large.

But, as you may understand it, we later faced financial difficulties, after securing unlimited space, and securing security for our website. So, left with no any other option, we decided to launch fundraising campaigns, where we at least wish to raise $15000 that can push us to the last stages of our project development.

We kindly request everyone who accesses this platform to please help us complete our project by donating to us any amounts of money you can afford.
