we currently have over 69 animals in our care as well as around 20-30 strays we feed daily that's not including the strays we see on our travels. Our vet was nice enough to call me today and let me know that all animal food and goods (this includes cat food, dog food, puppy pads, litter, kitten formula, puppy formula and operations) will be increasing on the 1st of june. Currently one 15kg bag of cat food is 500tl (£29.50) but will increase to 700tl (£42) I know it doesn't seem a lot but when you use 8-10 bags a month it certainly adds up. The vet has 12 bags of cat food she can sell us for £29 each if we can buy before the 1st June. Same for the dog food but dog food is 300tl (£18) but will increase to 500tl (£29.50) It's a huge amount to ask but we are going to set up a gogetfunding page over the next few days to try and raise £1,500 to get as many bags of cat and dog food as possible. Currently we are using in a month 9 bags (15kg) cat food - currently costing 4,900tl (£265.50) it will be costing from June 1st - 6300tl (£378) 10 bags of dog food - currently costing 3,000tl (£180) it will be costing from June 1st - 5,000tl (£295) cat litter x30 bags cat litter is going from 65tl (£3.80) to 100tl (£5.90) So those 30 bags costs £114 but will be costing £176 This means the money we need to raise each month as from June 1st for JUST basic needs this is without medication, without the soil for the cat gardens, without spaying/neutering will be £849
