Shams is 1 year and 4 months old. She is our only child. She is diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). SMA is a rare, progressive, inherited monogenic disease, characterized by lower motor neuron degeneration and muscle weakness. Treatment cannot be given after the age of 2.
