I'm sharing this story on behalf on my friend her inability to recieve fund through PayPal in Turkey. All funds will be sent to her bank account. Background story: I am a 33-year-old transgendered female that lives in Turkey. I'm away from my home county due to fleeing my country as it is anti-LGBTQ+, any members found exhibiting transgender looks were punished by jail time and reprimanding behaviors (Most physically and emotionally abusive). I’ve suffered a lot to get to this safe space and am trying to re-start my life as an openly transgender female. I’ve hit a lot of setbacks but have pushed through. However, I’m currently facing a very difficult medical crisis and am in dire need of assistance. Issue: When I was younger, I had some fillers injected into my cheek under the pretense that they are dissolvable ones. I was reassured that they would start melting off in a matter of 6 months to 1 year. This was not the case. I have tried seeking medical help removing but most refused to get entangled with this procedure due to how dangerous it is. I was recommended to keep the fillers as long as they caused me no harm. This year, My left cheek was in pain and got severely infected due to the fillers. One side of my face was thrice in size, filled with puss and everyone refused to treat me. If untreated, this would cause cancer, vein blockage as well as blocked salivary gland. I finally found a doctor that was willing to perform surgery to have the fillers removed along with treatment for 5,000$ dollars which I have borrowed money to pay for. I was left with scarring and a dented cheek but I couldn’t care less as long as I’m healthy. 9 months in, the same issue happened with my right cheek. I’ve moved to a remote area and have tried seeking treatment in emergency rooms as my cheek internally imploded, I was bleeding from my cheek, feverish, and in immense pain. Everyone turned me down not willing to deal with the risks. I finally found someone that removed the infected areas and stitched me up, but it is mandatory that I must have my fillers asap as the filler substance is moving around as is making its way to my eye, and will most likely be affected again soon. I’ve been able to scrape up tickets for the bus fare from where I live to Istanbul (where the doctor is located) and will be hosted by a friend while I get the surgery done. I need 5,000$ to have the same doctor that removed the fillers on my left cheeks to re-do the same with my right cheek. I’m in a lot of pain and at my wit’s end. I implore you to help as I’m, genuinely helpless, frightened, and suffering.
