Almost 30 years ago I, Coenie Hamman, suddenly lost my ability to walk when a truck without headlights crashed into my vehicle on a miserable misty evening. Even though it has been a tough journey through multiple surgeries and terrible care facilities, I have remained grateful for a second chance at life.

I'm now blessed with a dedicated live-in caregiver who looks after myself and my beautiful Beagle, Bella. Together with my brother's stepson, we have created a loving home where we keep finding joy in the little things.

With the cost of living increasing and my income barely covering our rent, we're hoping to find kind hearts willing to donate money or their services to assist with unforseen medical expenses and living costs.
