After graduating highschool in 2020, I was lucky enough convinve to win a scholarship for a University in Tokyo. In 2021, I flew to Japan to puruse my academic career. However, in July, I was hospitalized due to tuberculosis. I had to spend 6 months in the hospital and reserved my study result.
Currently, I have returned to my home country to continue my treatment since it is too expensive for my family. But after this, I still want to pursue my studying in Japan as it has been my dream since I was young and my family has been with me from the beginning. I feel like if I give up on it now, I will regret it forever and everything that I had done to get up to that point would all have been for nothing. Yet, I know that after taking care of me all this time, my father and mother are already drained dry and are too tried to keep up anymore. I don't want them to suffer anymore hardships, that's why I chose to study abroad in the first place, to one day come back and let them see a brighter future.
Now that one of my lungs is damage, I can't work on hard labour job anymore so even if I could return to Japan, finding a part-time job would be difficult. Then outside of the rest of the tution fee that I have to pay, I won't be able to live by with my just my family supports or part-time job.
Being this desperate, I came here to take a chance, that maybe if there would be any person out there who would support us. I know it is pathetic for me to wish for the pity of others, but after what my parents have done for me and how much they have gone through, I don't care how can I get the money, as long as it help me reaching my goal to one day have them proud and a better life, I will do it.
