Two years in the initial onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. I started a small business in migori county in Kenya by setting a shop and I have been working on this for two yeayand half upto now. I believe the COVID-19 had a negative impact on businesses. My business a textile shop specializing childre, Youth and adults clothes was a bout to collapsed since there was travel restrictions and other measures imposed by the government like closing the shop early, opening late hours in the morning leading to financial fragility in my business. I was emotionally drained. I did not restock my store thus the stock has drastically reduced while customers coming to buy were very few due to the restrictions especially adults and childre.
Over that period I have gained nothing from the business since it was in early start up stages and the little sales ended up as rent for the shop, house rent, school fees my children and family up keep. For now the government has lifted the restrictions with that there is increasing customers demand for clothes and the period is when children and youth are going back to schools, collegs and University and there is high demand for clothes, bags and bags.
I'm planning to purchase enough stock for my shop and coming up another store in neighbouring towns as I'm aiming to expand my business and therefore requesting for funding support. I will using these funds to manage the restocking of my store to full capacity by purchasing different kinds of clothes, shoes and bags in terms of size, colours, quality and styles trendy needed by my client. I have Strong client base in the town but I will required to add more customers to meet my target growth and setting up marketing through local media. Unfortunately I do not have the funds available for me to cover this set up and would be very much appreciate if you would consider providing me with business support.

  • Please support my business and it was totally affected by COVID-19 shutdown and I'm planning to restart again since it is the only one relying.
