HIV Testing & Counseling (HTC) Providers in Malawi are being exploited and under paid, so this compromise the quality of services they render to their clients/patients. For this reason they have formed and registered an association with the Malawi ?? Government Registrar's General office so that they can safeguard the clients welfare and counselors welfare. The Malawi government doesnt employ HTC providers, its only local and international NGO's, and because of that, most of the trained Counselors work as volunteers or being paid peanuts.. So the Association want to help in bringing sanity to the field by engaging various stake holders and by running some of HIV projects in Malawi. Since Malawi is a third wirld country the association is looking for financial support to kick start its mandate for betterment of both clients and providers.
