Kyarusozi subcounty has apopulation of 14,000 people of which over 80% work in the informal sector mainly for food ( hands to mouth) & this 80% live Bellow the poverty line. Majority can't afford health services offered by the private practitioners who are profit oriented and so almost 95% of the deaths in this area are as a result of poor health services as there's no government facility to serve the population.
As National's effort for social transformation, ( NEST) we aim at establishing a healthy unit to serve the community at asub sidised price, to minimize or control the high moternal rates, mortality rates, & in necessary death from controlable diseases such as maleria, coughing, flue and all other manageble illnesses and also bring immunisation exercise near the people.
