Hi, I’m Joshua Tochukwu Ogo-Emmanuel, I am an orphan and I want to share my story with you. For 24 years the orphanage I call home has suffered government abandonment that frustrates the efforts of well-meaning citizens to visit the orphans. The road leading to my home is bumpy, crooked, eroded and populated by sharp stones that have damaged tyres, ruined footwear and caused feet to bleed. Consequently, visitors are deterred from visiting and bringing food to the orphans. Additionally, we have kitchens with leaking roofs, abandoned appliances and broken cement grounds. The toilets and hostels are also lacking essential supplies such as water and some basic renovation. These are costs the orphanage cannot afford independently and that is why I am striving to raise sufficient funds to repair the road, kitchens, toilets and hostels. I am not looking to build a luxurious home for my siblings, I just want a hygienic and comfortable environment. Would you like to be part of this life-changing project?
