While writing this it was very hard to stop myself from crying. Im writing on behalf of a friend whom has now become homeless. This man had a very loving family, prayed daily, had a wonderful job in the police department, and wanted nothing more than to keep his family from starving. Muatasim worked tirelessly in Pakistan while only receiving a monthly pay of $180, and did labor work for only $7 a day. Knowing this wasn't enough he continued to work to provide food for his family. For a few months Muatasim was doing well until the death of his son had occured. In a heartbreaking message from his family he was told his son had fallen from a roof while playing. In attempts to commit suicide Muatasim had held a gun to his head, and in a split second decided to shoot himself in both legs while working on his shift in the police department. Muatasim was taken to a hospital by colleagues to be treated for 10 days for a gunshot wound and from his hospital bed quit his job. Muatasim has no where to go and is sleeping in a hospital he currently has no money to afford. He will be discharged and put out on streets of Pakistan without assistance from friends or family. I am writing this in hopes that he will receive as much help as he can. As a friend it hurts to see him in this condition so Im writing this on his behalf.
