Oftenly, girls of Namiliga village, a fast growing slum in Bombo, struggle to access sanitary pads. Surviving on a dollar a day for meals, poor mothers here trade between food and a pad for their girl child.
Mothers and adult girls have come together with a commitment to produce home made pads that a reuseable and affordable in a long run. They seek financial support to procure 10 sewing machines at a total $800. They also seek support to buy input materials to a total $300.
