  1. Wow Mama!

The 14 years of civil war in Liberia didn’t just effected children but women(us)
Growing up as a woman in West African (Liberia ) is not an easy thing. Our history tells us that Liberian women are to stay home and talk care of the kids, house work and family. While our husband take care of the home. Women going to school in Liberia is by the mercy of God. The ratio shows only 34.09% of educated women are in Liberia. Women who've lived with the Americo Liberian (free slaves) as servants, had the opportunity to learn a bit in grade schools. Majority of the others though all their lives farming and take care of their family making the illiteracy of women in Liberia more till present. 2003 was the end of the 14 years of bloody war in Liberia, the disarmament program was launched. Truth reconciliation commission program (TRC) in Liberia and other NGOs established a adult literacy program but lasted only for 3 months. Till then there’s no program in Liberia created to help Adults. Our mothers, sisters, friends who are adults and wish to at least learn how to spell their names but there’s no opportunity provided for them. It’s not even a topic discussed in Liberia. Wow mama is a non profit adults literacy program established to help women in Liberia. The program will take place in the 15 countries of Liberia by phases. Phases * Phase 1 Montserrado * Phase 2 Margibi * Phase 3 Bong * Phase 4 Lofa * Phase 5 Nimba * Phase 6 Sinoe * Phase 7 Grand gedeh * Phase 8 Grand Bassa * Phase 9 Rivergee * Phase 10 Maryland * Phase 11 Grand kru * Phase 12 Gbapolu * Phase 13 Bomi * Phase 14 Rivercess * Phase 16 Grand capemount These phases will be had two times a week, Saturdays and Sundays at a major school campuses and communities town houses because of the busy schedules of our beneficiaries. Our teachers are trained and professional to deal with slow learners or adults. Each phase will last for at least six months. Testimonials form beneficiaries and report cards will be reported monthly to all our sponsors to for a follow up on the process. Founds collected will be used for awareness, teachers pay, renting of schools and gift for students wish will included books, pens, bags, and other schooling materials.

Top sponsors will also have the opportunity to me be mention on our website, social media, talk shows, flyers and included in our jingles and promotes.
