Covid19 pandemic has left millions of Ugandan children battling "loss and grief" having witnessed sufferings, deaths in and around homes, loss of businesses,Jobs, loss of connectedness, safety of human kind and yet also loss of sense to nomalcy.
These children are mostly grieve due to loss of childhood rites to passage, school events, organized sports and also hanging out with friends and classmates.
On the sad note, most children rarely show grief outwardly yet also most parents have inadequate knowledge, skills and techniques in identifying grief in children and this impedes their roles in parenting grieved children, which subsequently results to continous child grief and actually can result into a potential mental illness.
We(teams of committed individuals) are set to create awareness and train the community in order to impart knowledge, skills and techniques to identify grief in children and be able to provide first line solution to the teen mental health threat.
We also empower parents to encourage the affected children seek psycho-socio support services from our professional mental Health specialist(Visits)
We believe together with your effort we can empower the community more and more.
Thank youhttps://hoperestcentuganda.simdif.com
