Hi everyone !

I have started fundraising for " JAWAKHALI JUBO SANGHA" -A youth led community development center operating at Shyamnagar Upazilla in Satkhira of Bangladesh and I am trying to raise $10000. The donation will help empower women girls in coastal areas of Bangladesh by reducing diaster risks, climate vulnerability and ensuring sustainable environment.

This is really great cause, and it something that is dear to my heart. I believe everyone have the rights to be safe and secure no matter where you live. A five (5) kilometer roadeside tree activities will be taken under this project through a bileteral agreement with the Local Goovenment(Union Parishad). The project will be implemented throug the active involvement of the local youth, women and adolescents girls.

Shyamnagar Upazilla is a most disaster prone and climate vulnerable areas in Bangladesh due to its geogrphical locations. Sidr and Aila hit on this area in 2007 and 2009 and destroyed the huge lives and livelihoods of the area. Jawakhali Jubo Sangha creates a space for the coastal women and girls to build a disaster resilient community, secure livelihoods and sustainable environment and more.

If I reach my goal $10000 I will assigned to be an upcoming project [ Roadside tree plantation] where it most needed in the coastal areas of Bangladesh.
