Iam Ssempala Rashid Born in Uganda through my traveling over my country I found these families of pregnant ladies en old men plus young children who are yarning for help.
Summary I Ssempala Rashid, C.E.O and founder runs a high-impact children's hospital and a maternity department in East and north, Uganda. Covid-19 hit Uganda hard, with 60+ people testing positive and the Ugandan government banning public transport and locking down the towns. This makes it extremely hard for severely sick children and expectant mothers to get to the hospitals, most of which are closed or are left without medical staff or medicine. With your help, Whisper's hospital will stay open to provide much-needed healthcare. Challenge With your help, we will offer food and medical service centres that will stay open. So far it is operating normally despite the severe measures taken by the government. We're ensuring that medical personnel are able to get to work by transporting them by car or providing them with free on-site accommodation. Helping to fund this project will help hundreds of children, pregnant mothers and newborn babies who will be able to receive life-saving medical attention without compromising on the safety of our doctors and nurses and our patients. Solution We are making sure that all the protective measures, such as surgical masks, respirators, gloves, disinfectants, soaps, and not least medication are available to doctor and nurses and patients plus those at home that are not working. All medical members and all patients are given a face mask, or a respirator. They all have an opportunity to wash and disinfect their hands in every area of the hospital. Free food is also provided during the crisis, where lots of markets are now closed and elsewhere food prices have tripled in costs. Long-Term Impact Longer term I want to arrange formal impact assessments that we think will make a compelling case for funding hospitals. At least until then, we really need your help to get us through this difficult period with the extra costs we are facing. If you just give to one charity, make that Rash-Mo foundation ! If you can't give at the moment, but you still want to help, anything you can do to share our campaign, for example on social media, will help us. Thank you for reading.
