this sanitary pad campaign is to help the victims of menstruation trauma and minimize instances of cofinality vaginal infection, female genital mutilation(FGM)etc through the orienting and enlightening the women and school girls especially those living in rural areas.
for many girls and women in Africa ,getting their period means putting their lives on hold.In some places menstruation is associated with stigma and girls feel embarrassed, often excluding themselves from school and other social activities their periods.lack of access to functional and segregated toilets .I limited information on menstrual hygiene management and limited availability sanitary material to manage menstruation make it more difficult to manage their periods.
sanitary pads are expensive and often inaccessible ,some girls and women resort to managing thier periods with pieaces of rags and papers. which are often unhygeinic and uncomfortable .others ask permission to leave school primeses and many stay at home. during thier periods.we have estimated that more than three hundred thousand girls miss school in Africa because of their periods every year.those girls and women simply do not have access to sanitary pads, they face discrimination and stigma during their periods;in others still they do not have educational resources to inform them about safe sanitary hygiene practices..CFLOAHRA has now carefully used a new approach to help those women and girls.let's join hands together and make difference in their lives for sake of GOD and humanity .together we can make it happen.
