Hello! My name is Inês, I'm a Portuguese 29 year old woman working non-stop since I was 20 and paying for everything by myself since then.
Unfortunately I was not fortunate enough to have a supportive upbringing and always struggled with money my entire life.
Also, Portugal is the best country but also a poor one... young people are not helped by our government at the start of their adult life.
Because of that, and although I do have worked non stop for almost 10 years now, I still cannot afford to buy my own home. Also the banks in Portugal do not loan you 100% of the money you need to buy your house. The loan only goes until 80% of the house's value... And I don't have the 20% that is missing...
This is my life's dream, to own my house, to start building my family, but I'll not be able to it alone...
