Hi my name is Eddie. I started my own handyman business in 2018 after years of customer service sales, non profit fundraising and security. Spent all savings starting up and quickly realized the difficulty in starting your own business. And developed a new appreciation for those who do.
I Lived out of my sisters car until it no longer was an option. Delivering food on gig platforms.. now im recently homeless as a result of losing 3 jobs to covid n March. Serving tables at Dennys. Security and after getting sick in April my delivery jobs on gig platforms as I thiught it best to sideline myself til I recovered.
During this time I was approved for unemployment but at an insulting rate of $76 a week. For which has been recognized as a mistake yet EDD has still failed to address. I kept fairly quiet on the issue because I know some weren't gettin a penny and with the extra 600 weekly in pandemic assistance it was almost as much as a fulltime payecheck. So I chose the patient route. Which hasn't at all paid off.
My landlord at the time agrees to me remodeling the house I was renting a room at in order to cover rent until I got it all fixed or got back to work on Regular stable basis. That never came to pass. I agreed to sell my car(only source of income( in order to cover rent) and foolishly rendered myself jobless homeless and carless. But Instead of 23 rolling over i bought a tent with the funds made from that sale, found a tunnel and here I stay. ght a new car about a month ago. But oddly had a spark plug break in the engine cylinder effecimtivley benching that vehicle after 2 weeks of being back on the road. So I ask for assistance. To get back on my feet. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and used to acquire a truck. Snd a place to stay. As well as tools and materials to get back to work as I have a pretty big fencing gig coming up next week and it's a bit of an audition and I need to impress. This could be my ticket out of this tent. Could be that light im looking for. To lead me out of this tunnel
