PLEASE DONATE A PAD TO A SCHOOL GIRL CHILD
AIM

Period poverty is a major cause for poor school attendance amongs young girls. A good number of this girls suffer from low esteem, depression, low confidence, as well as infections from using unhygienic makeshift sanitary towels like tissue papers and rags.
To combat this horrific situation, some of thiss girls engage in life threatening activities like hawking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking, begging on the streets all of which predisposes them to molestation, rape and in some cases deaths.

SOLUTION
this project will allow SAVE the GIRL CHILD Foundation assist young girls across these communities by providing them with 1 year's worth of sanitary pads till the next campaign in their communities. We will also sensitise them on the importance of good menstrual hygiene and how to and prevent rape by our medical team.

LONGTERM IMPACT
Providing this girls with sanitary pads, menstrual hygiene and rape sensitization will help increase awareness of this issues, their confidence and self esteem. It will also help reduce/prevent the loss of school days and enhance participation in school activities and viable opportunities.
Furthermore, the succes of this project will help reduce the risk of infection, predisposition to rape and sexual violence while also narrowing the inequality gap between them and their counterparts who have access too sanitary products.

This project is projected to benefit 1000 school girls accross Five communities in the North West Region Cameroon which will run from December 1st 2020.
Your donation and contribution in kind and in cash will highly save a life.
Thank You.
