Imagine digging small holes to squat for hours during menstrual period? This is exactly what is happening to teenage girls in a remote county of Tana River near the coastal region of Kenya.

Here there is scarcity of health and sex education to teenage girls. No one seems to be responsible leaving the innocent girls to invent unhealthy ways to deal with to their situation.

This has caused many girls to drop out of school or get involved in premarital sex to that leads to teenage pregnancies and contraction of sexually transmitted diseases. This is a great risk to these innocent girls.

The community doesn't talk openly about sex and health education as it is considered as a taboo. Those responsible are busy struggling with taking care of livestock . The Covid 19 has worsen the situation as it has caused the parents to take a lot of time away in search of the daily bread for their huge families.

This is where we come in. The money that will be raised will be used to:

1. Purchase sanitary towels to be distributed to freely to the girls affected in the region.
2. Orginise training on sex and health education for the girls.
3. Buy some relief food to the parents of these girls and keep their parents at home.
4. When the above is done the girls will have enough time to concentrate on education rather than being interrupted during their monthly periods.

I believe with our efforts we can bring a great change in the lives of these girls by replacing the holes with sanitary towels and guarantee a better life and education for this girls.
